In addition to having information available to you at all times, your Suunto D3 records and stores data for later analysis. You can view, compare, and analyze your diving performance through a specially designed PC interface.
The technical features, combined with the PC interface developed for more graphical representation of your performance, and our Internet Community, where you can share information with other like-minded divers from around the world, make Suunto D3 ideal for freedivers who take their diving seriously and aim at reaching their peak.
Suunto D3 is available either with a standard elastomer strap or with an optional comfortable floating neoprene strap. Suunto D3 is designed with natural freedom of freediving in mind, and due to its small size, its hydrodynamics is never compromised.
In the freediving mode, Suunto D3 provides accurate depth and time recording with an amazing 1-second interval. And to fine-tune your diving technique, you can download and analyze each dive afterwards. The surface interval between dives is displayed in seconds and minutes.
Since a freediver seldom has time to look at the display during the dive, a repeatable dive time alarm helps you keep track of the time. You can set the dive time alarm to beep e.g. every 30 seconds. Suunto D3 also provides a repeatable countdown timer with an alarm, a useful feature for static apnea or pool training.
In the Gauge mode, Suunto D3 provides a bottom timer function for SCUBA diving with your own pre-planned tables or if you want to use it as a backup instrument. A dive timer with a reset function displays the dive time in minutes and seconds. This is extremely useful for timing accurate bottom times and decompression stops. A Maximum Operating Depth (MOD) planner helps you determine to what depths you can safely use your gas mix.
