Suunto X9 is a versatile navigation instrument for every outdoor enthusiast. It includes complete GPS functions, an electronic compass, barometer, thermometer and altimeter. Supported with the Suunto Trek manager PC software, Suunto X9 is a complete tool for personal navigation and documentation of your outdoor activities. • When navigating on a preplanned route, Suunto X9 guides you through the waypoints, showing you direction and the remaining distance to the next waypoint.
  
• Suunto X9 also calculates your estimated time of arrival (ETA), your vertical climb left and your drift from the ideal route, and route data helps you reach your destination.
  
• A simple tracking function shows your current speed and the distance from the start, records your track, and shows the way back if needed.
  
• The adjustable satellite fix rate allows you to use the navigation features even on a week-long hike, or if you like, record a very detailed track if you are outdoors only a few hours. Depending on the type of activity, you can select the satellite fix rate between 1sec, 1 min and manual.
  

• The "Find Home" function is an essential safety feature: it always shows you the way back to the marked "Home" position.
  
• For returning back the same way you just came or for repeated navigation of another track, the "Track Back" function guides you back or forth along any track in the Suunto X9's memory.
  

• The Suunto Trek Manager PC software supports the use of the Suunto X9 wrist unit with a variety of planning, visualizing and analyzing functions.
  
• You can create routes and waypoints, plot recorded tracks, and view speed and altitude profiles in a fast and effortless way.
  
• With the PC software you can manage your own waypoint name lists. You can store up to 19 names in your Suunto X9, including:  good fishing spots, prime rock faces, and beautiful campsites, that you can update for the needs of your activities.
